This project involved designing a range 3D wallpaper designs for the music festival called Leopallooza near the North Cornish Coast
Leopallooza is an annual outdoor event held in a wooded valley near the North Cornish coast run by a close group of friends. The site is permanent and always evolving with wooden structures making up the arena field. It started as a free houseparty in a field and although a lot more organised and sober now, we hope it still has the feel and ethos of the first.
This has to be one of my all time favourite projects! I love 3D design, so this was the perfect project! The brief for this project was to design a series of 3D wallpapers that suited the amazing festival Leopallooza near North Cornish Cost. It had to sunny, it had to be all colorful, but most of all, it had to look awesome!

The ‘Jack Gear Invitational’ is an FMB (Freeride Mountain Bike World Tour) event that takes place across the festival weekend on a custom built track, set within the wooded grounds of Leopallooza in Cornwall, United Kingdom. The tour visits countries including Sweden, Hungary, Spain, Canada,Ukraine, Croatia and the US. Now Leopallooza has been added to the list.
The project involved producing a series of different 3D visualisation designs to showcase the course to potential sponsors. Some of these designs are shown below. A 3D flyover animation of the course was also created to promote the event itself at Leopallooza in Cornwall.
This was a fantastic project to have been involved with and I can’t wait to see what these guys do next!

This is an example of a 3D waiting room visualisation design (Based on Exeter International in Devon). I decided to put this design together to learn more about lighting setups in interior designs.
To make sure the exact measurements of a real life airport was implemented I decided to download an airport blueprint. From here, the design of the airport was then put together using my imagination such as where the seats were positioned, the shape and colour of them and where the signs should be placed. To add to the realism of the design static pictures of humans were seamlessly dropped in to enhance the visualisation of the airport design.
I really enjoyed this project and it was nice to jump back into some 3D interior designs.
Before starting the business study room design I go through two main steps – the technical and the artistic steps.
First of all, this was a personal project and therefore a brief was made up, you must ensure you fulfil the brief accurately and efficiently. I spent quite a bit of time just thinking about the brief, studying reference materials and blueprints. It is a crucial phase in the modeling step.
Then there is the artistic preparation. One of the rules in architecture designs is to maintain coherence in the colour scheme, materials, and furniture styles. Therefore, when putting together the final stages of the design this rule was used.
As I’d already created a stylistically strong architectural designs before, the design came together naturally. How I loved this project!
Here is a 3D Room Design for my university project called Dorothy’s Day Out at University Of Plymouth, Devon.
The plot line for the project is as follows: an elderly granny (called Dorothy) decides to take her rage out on the rest of the world after being tormented by her local neighbours for over twenty years.
Here is an example of a 3D Photo Realistic Lake Scene of Upper Tamar Lakes in Holsworthy, Devon. Upper Tamar offers sailing, windsurfing and kayaking for individuals, families and groups.
The aim of the design was to show how exploring in North Cornwall and Devon was perfect for families, groups and couples, and to also learn more about creating nature scenes in the process; creating elements like insects, creatures, water, mountains, twigs, trees, hedges.
It was created using an ivy generator, Arbaro (tree generator) and Blender to bring everything together.
Here is a 3D scene designed for the Nature Academy competition. The instructions were quite straight forward for this project- create any nature scene using Blender. The most spectacular scene wins!
The inspiration came from an american television series called Lost, consisting of six seasons. Lost is a drama series that follows survivors of a commercial passenger jet crash, whilst flying between Sydney and Los Angeles. (description from wikipedia.org)
The idea behind this project was to combine a wide range of my interests into one design – painting, photography, architecture and design.
Stylists, architects, furniture designers and photographers were my main source of inspiration for this architecture designs. This was the first step that was undertaken. However, when I gather inspiration It is hard to work on a visualisation without developing a small interest in gardening, landscape and architecture therefore I did quite a lot of research into the project.
This project was quite simply to push the boundaries and I have really enjoyed the steps that were taken in order to produce this design.
Here is a 3D visualisation Of New York in United States Of America designed (using Blender, AfterEffects and Photoshop) for the Photo Realistic Blender Competition. The instructions were quite straight forward – You may create anything, just make it photo realistic. The most spectacular scene wins!
The inspiration for this scene came from a film called ‘WE MISS YOU’ which can be seen by visiting the link below
Here is a 3D autumn design for the Architectural Academy competition. The criteria were: storytelling, aesthetics and impact. Furthermore, to increase the chances of winning the design had to have a meaning beyond just the image; perhaps it will bring you to tears, make you laugh, or remind you of something you’d almost forgotten. It also stands out in a crowd, and dares to be different. (EmptyEasel 2013)
Therefore with this quote in mind my intention was to portray an image that tells a story of a young mother and daughter having a deep talk about growing up whilst enjoying the fireworks display overlooking the city. To strengthen the statement I wanted to portray a young family growing up in a neighborhood where vandalism has taken place, in the hope that the design can relate to some people in there real lives. This is also another factor that contributes to making good artwork.
>Overall, It took just over a month to complete with over 100 alterations before I landed on the exact design that felt right. Awesome fun and a massive learning curve.
