Wedding Photography Website Design and Development in Cornwall
Scott Marshall Photography -is a new business starting up in Bude, Cornwall, offering professional wedding photographer covering the whole of the South West.
The primary task was to design and develop a website that focused on showing off the wedding photography. However, unlike most other photography websites they do not utilise the whole screen. Therefore, it was decided that a slideshow which scales the wedding images automatically to the size of the users screen would be the perfect solution. Another reason behind this is that research has proven that if the user is not interested within the first 1-3 seconds they will close the website immediately. The slideshow on the gallery page was custom built using jQuery that allowed custom features to be implemented allowing smooth transitions between the images. Additionally, a private client area was developed that allows customers to purchase individual photos via Paypal payment service.
